Houston Area "G" Gaugers
Model Railroad Club
This web page was last updated January 31, 2005

The Houston Area "G" Gaugers is a model railroad club whose members build and operate electric, battery, and live-steam powered trains indoors and in outdoor settings. Most of our trains operate on Gauge 1 (also known as G-gauge) track which measures 1¾" or 45mm between the rails.

Our club was formed in 1987 and draws membership from the greater Houston, Texas area. We usually meet on the second Sunday of the month from 2 to 5 p.m. at members homes. Our annual dues are $25 per household.

The mailing address of the club is:

In addition to our monthly meetings, we participate in several train shows each year.

All members receive our bi-monthly newsletter, the Houston Area "G" Gauger. This magazine is crammed with info on upcoming meetings and other events, correspondence, articles, advertisements, and lots of photos.
The club owns, and volunteer members operate, a very large modular G-gauge railroad which is housed in a storefront, between Foley's and Palias Royal  inside the Northwest Mall in Houston.
The mall is located at the intersection of Loop 610, Hwy 290, & Hempstead Road in the northwest area of Houston.
Our layout is open for public viewing every Saturday afternoon from about 1 p.m. until about 6 p.m. (We say about because opening, operating, and closing depends on whether or not we have enough volunteers for that particular Saturday.)

We also have an active Live Steam group within HAGG.

We invite you to join us.
