The locomotive will be supplied ready-to-run, FOB Houston TX, and will incorporate several items which its developer, Dennis Grigassy, has found desirable:

• The locomotive will operate on track with less than 20' radius curves!
• It will have electric starting of the state-of-the-art gasoline engine!
• It will have ultra-smooth hydraulic control of forward-reverse and braking!
• It will have a 12-volt electrical system, allowing the use of various lights, horns, bells, etc.!
• It will NOT be a scale model of any particular engine, but rather a free-lance design.
• Current plans call for the locomotive to be constructed primarily of steel. This should make it very rugged!
• It will be designed so that it may safely be operated by a 5 year-old. We plan to use Dennis' grandsons -- Aaron, Nathan, & Thomas -- as test-engineers!
• It will come equipped with hold-down rings at all four corners to make it easy to secure for safe transportation!
• We hope to incorporate linkage to allow 2 or more CLW locos to be MU'ed, thus achieving the pulling power of larger locomotives while still allowing single-unit operation on small layouts or for switching!
• Current plans call for an approximate width of 16" and an approximate length of 36". Height and weight have not yet been determined.
• With all-wheel drive, pulling power will be determined by the total engine weight. There will be areas where additional weight may be added by the purchaser!
• Price has not yet been determined, but quite possibly will be around $4000 to $5000.
• We plan to build one or two prototypes during 2000, and then have a production run of 6 locomotives during 2001.
• We know it's early - but reservations are being solicited. We will require a refundable deposit of $1000, and we will accept MasterCard, Visa, AmericanExpress, and Discover/Novus credit cards as well as personal checks.

Originally we did not have plans to supply riding cars, track products, etc., however we have received several inquiries for complete "train sets." If you are interested in a complete backyard railroad with a loop of track, a locomotive, and 2 riding cars in the price range of around $10,000 please let us know. We are evaluating this possible expansion of our product offerings.
